Hi! I should probably start out by introducing myself. My husband Roger and I have lived here in Kentucky for seven and a half years now. We met here at Bethel Camp 12 years ago, out in the driveway in front of what is now our laundry room. We have 4 children; our sons Judah & Wesley are attending Riverside Christian School this year, and our daughters Malin & Avery are still at home with me. Those four provide me with plenty of stories to write!

We appreciate all the time that Adna Mae put into gathering information to write about Bethel Camp for the newspaper. She did a super job, and I always enjoy reading what she has to say.

Thanks to everyone who attended our Valentine’s Banquet this year. There were about 50 people in attendance, the food was tasty, and when we totaled up the gifts that were given, the number was higher than at any banquet we’ve held in the past. I spent most of the evening "behind the scenes" in the kitchen. I regret that I didn’t get the chance to talk with everyone who came for the meal. But I enjoyed working with the crew of young people who volunteered to come and serve the meal. There was lots of laughter in the camp kitchen once again. That’s one thing that I miss during the off season and that I look forward to when summer camp starts up again.

One of the highlights of the Valentine’s Banquet for us (and Brenda Johnson and Mark & Mary Driskill) was getting to use the newly decorated dining hall for the first time. They spent quite a few hours with us in January stripping paint off of windows and doorframes, and giving the whole room a fresh coat of paint. The work was much needed, and it looks great - the only thing it’s missing now is the campers!
